ALL COMMUNITIES INVITED

This evening features students presenting their drug prevention message from Nathan Hale, Ponus Ridge, Roton and West Rocks Middle Schools, Brookside Elementary School and Side by Side Charter School. Drug prevention artwork, created by students during classes they’ve taken as part of the Courage to Speak® Drug Prevention Education Program taught by their health class teachers, will be displayed. The evening also includes a presentation for parents and students by Ginger Katz, Founder of the Courage to Speak® Foundation. All communities are invited to attend!

Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Dr. Albert Sackey, Principal of Nathan Hale Middle School. Participants will include Norwalk’s Mayor, Harry Rilling, Chief of Operations, Dr. Frank Costanzo, and Norwalk Deputy Chief, Susan Zecca, in addition to school principals, prevention and treatment professionals, teachers, parents, business and community leaders, representatives of state and local government and members of the Courage to Speak Foundation Board of Directors.

“Bringing students and parents together to talk openly and honestly about the dangers of drugs is the most important goal of the Courage to Speak® Foundation, Empowering Youth to be Drug Free Family Night. By helping our students become outstanding anti-drug advocates and mentors for their friends and younger siblings, we hope to eradicate the problem of drug and alcohol use among young people across the country.”

Ginger Katz, CEO and Founder of the Courage to Speak® Foundation
