Youth Presentation

Youth Presentation

Details:CEO and Founder Ginger Katz tells the story of her son Ian’s losing battle with drugs and provides insight into a young person’s journey into addiction, which began with cigarettes, alcohol, and marijuana (in the 8th grade) that then led to his death from an overdose in Ian’s junior year of college. Youth come away from the presentation with tools and information to refuse drugs, make healthier life choices, and help those they suspect might be using drugs. They learn how important it is to identify 3-5 adults in their lives that they can share their secrets with for support; how to develop clear decision-making strategies; how to develop clear refusal skill strategies; the dangers of Fentanyl and how marijuana and vapes can be laced with Fentanyl; and how enabling and denial perpetuates the disease of addiction.
