The nation is experiencing an opioid epidemic, and Connecticut’s rate is above the national average. This touches people everywhere, including schools, so what are some effective approaches and practices to prevent student substance use and tackle substance misuse? This September, Connecticut is holding a full-day substance misuse prevention summit focusing on the role of schools and how they can work together with students, families, communities, and other stakeholders in addressing the crisis.
